12/24/04:  Lars has completed a new Erling book, entitled Hailstone Mountain. This story has Erling and Father Ailill voyaging to northern Norway to lift a curse placed on Erling by an old enemy, and to fight a mysterious tribe of cannibal giants. It awaits decision by the publisher.
Lars Walker's novel Wolf Time is now available free on the internet via the Baen Free Library! The Baen Free Library is a pioneering effort by Baen Books and author Eric Flint, in which certain Baen Books are made available to the public online at no charge. Lars Walker has completed a manuscript called Troll Valley, which is awaiting decision by Baen Books. He is at work at another Erling Skjalgsson novel.

Death's Doors is another Epsom novel, centered on a religious cult that brings a 10th Century Viking forward in time. Lars' current project is Troll Valley, a book set in Epsom at the turn of the 20th Century.

Lars Walker was a guest lecturer on board the Royal Princess cruise ship on a cruise to the North Cape of Norway, July 22 through August 3, 2003. He delivered five talks on the Vikings for passengers on board.
